I used to want to be a writer. Then at some point I started writing here and there and wishing I could be a writer. Then one day I woke up and started writing.
Every single day. Wanting is a seed that gets planted. Wishing is standing over it and wondering when that seed will ever sprout. Making it happen is going and grabbing the water bucket and willing that seed into a plant. I've written nearly 1000 articles the last 3 years; in total they account for almost 750,000 words. That's more articles and words combined than I wrote in the preceding 50 years when I was wanting and wishing. A lot can happen when we stop wanting and wishing and start writing. A lot can happen when we start making it happen. What do you want today? What are you wishing for today? And how much of that has not happened because you simply have not gone and grabbed that water bucket? If you want to be a dancer, dance somewhere today. If you want to be a leader, lead someone today. If you want to be a writer, write something today. Quit wanting, quit wishing, start doing. You'll be amazed at how many wishes will be granted.
