"Wherever you are is the entry point." That is profound. But maybe what is even more profound is what Kabir did NOT say. He did not say wherever you should be is the entry point. He did not say wherever you hoped you'd be is the entry point. He did not say wherever you were before things went wrong is the entry point. He said WHEREVER YOU ARE. This means regret can be an entry point. Sixty two years old can be an entry point. Failure can be an entry point. Divorce can be an entry point. Doubt can be an entry point. Even success—yes, success—can be an entry point. Kabir was suggesting that wherever we are is an opportunity to take the next positive step in our lives. And what great news, what hope, that we will never land someplace where a next positive step is impossible. I have missed a whole lot of entry points in my life because wherever I was frequently felt like a place I was not supposed to be. But today, I understand that everywhere I have been has always been preparation for every new wherever I am. For every new entry point. We spend a lot of time thinking about where we've been in life. A lot about where we will one day be. But some days I worry those places distract us from the most important place of all: Wherever we are. Wherever we are is wanting to lead us someplace. No wherever we are will ever make that untrue. Don't miss it, wherever you are. Don't miss the entry point.
